Botulinum Toxin Procedures

Botulinum toxin is FDA approved for temporary treatment of moderate to severe dynamic glabellar frown lines and crow's feet in adults aged 18-65 years. Botulinum toxin is FDA approved for the temporary treatment of primary axillary hyperhidrosis. When small quantities of botulinum toxin are injected into large muscles, it temporarily reduces muscle contractions and smoothes skin wrinkles in the treatment area. Reduction of wrinkles in the upper and lower face, neck and chest are other off-label uses of botulinum toxin. The effect lasts about 3-4 months.
